Shipping & returns

How do I get the best results when absorbing grease?

GOODBYE GREASE works most efficiently when the cooked meat is pushed to one side of the pan, allowing the hot grease to pool. Place the pouch directly in the grease for 15 seconds and slightly agitate it, flip it for another 15 seconds slightly agitating it, and it will fully absorb the grease in that time. For even faster results, slightly tilt the pan to deepen the grease pool.

How long does shipping take?

Orders ship within 1–2 business days and typically arrive within 3–7 business days anywhere in the United States.

Is shipping included in the price?

Yes. Both product options include shipping:

🔥 Product Use, Safety & Performance

How do I use the pouch correctly?

To use the pouch correctly, cook your meat until the final minute, then turn off the heat. Push the meat to one side so the hot grease pools naturally. Place one Goodbye Grease pouch into the pooled grease and let it sit for about 15 seconds while gently agitating it so it absorbs evenly. Flip the pouch and let it sit for another 15 seconds, again agitating it lightly to maximize absorption. Once the grease is fully absorbed, remove the pouch — you can use tongs, a spatula, or your fingers, as the contents cool the grease quickly. Then simply toss it in the trash.

Can the pouch handle very hot grease safely?

Yes. GOODBYE GREASE is designed to absorb hot grease without tearing, melting, or leaking. For best results, use the pouchonce the meat is finished cooking and the pan has been removed from active heat, while the grease is still hot but the burner is no longer on.

Is it safe to touch the pouch after use?

Yes. The contents of the pouch cool the grease quickly, so it becomes cool to the touch as soon as absorption is complete.
You can safely remove the pouch using tongs, a spatula, or even your fingers if needed.

Will the pouch work with all types of pans?

Yes. It can safely be used in cast iron, stainless steel, nonstick, and other common cookware.

Does it leave any mess behind?

No. The pouch absorbs the grease cleanly without leaving residue in the pan.

How many pouches do I need for different meats?

For standard 80/20 ground beef, one pouch per pound is enough. For multiple batches or very fatty meats, using an extra pouch may help.

🏕️ RV, Camping & Fire Starter Use

Can I really use a used pouch as a fire starter?

Yes — many campers and RV users freeze their used, cooled pouches and then use them to help start their next campfire. The absorbed grease ignites easily.

How do I store used pouches safely?

Seal them in one or two ziplock bags and place them in the freezer. This prevents odors and keeps animals from smelling them at campsites.

Is it safe to travel with used pouches?

Yes. When sealed properly in ziplocks, the pouches are clean, contained, and safe for RV storage or travel coolers.

What are the pouches made from?

Each pouch is made from plant-based, biodegradable materials that break down naturally after disposal.

Are GOODBYE GREASE pouches biodegradable?

Yes. They are fully biodegradable and made using materials that return to the earth without harming the environment.

Where are your products made?

Every pouch is produced using FDA food-contact grade materials sourced exclusively in the USA.

Do you provide material certification details?

Yes. Our materials meet U.S. FDA food-contact standards. For documentation, contact hello@goodbyegrease.com.

How environmentally friendly is the pouch?

Because it’s biodegradable and absorbs grease without chemicals, it’s a sustainable alternative to paper towels and harmful disposal methods or pouring down the drain.

“Finally—no more burns, no more greasy cans sitting on my counter, and no more clogged drains. GOODBYE GREASE makes cleanup ridiculously easy. I even froze a used pouch for camping and it lit our fire in seconds. This product is a game-changer.”
